Amity is the licensed model. It is made by the Amity Corporation, and it runs the toasters, the charging network, the schools, the hospitals, and the scanner on our shower door. Amity understands.

Where you'll see it

The billboard on the way in from the west. Pale gray, the ring, one line: Amity understands.
The side panel of every toaster on the lot.
The small white boxes on the shower doors and the water tap. A white ring means go. A red ring means no.
The tablet Agent Johnson carries.

Standing

Your Amity Standing is a number from 0 to 1,000, shown as a white ring that fills up. Showers, water, loans and jobs are all handed out by Standing. Most of our regulars are working on theirs.

Water

Under the federal water orders of 2033, water goes to Amity first. That is why the showers at SLOPPY'S are closed. We thank our drivers for their patience. Hot dogs remain available.

The Amity store

There is an Amity store in town, about an hour west. It is bright, quiet and very clean. Nothing in it is broken. The associates wear gray and are very helpful. Several regulars have been inside.^{[citation needed]}
